Hypoxia crashes while scanning my SD Card.
This issue was present in v1.0.0.368 for a few users, and was promptly resolved. If you’re running Hypoxia version 1.0.0.368 please update to 1.0.0.370 or higher to correct the issue.
Updates are available at the store you originally bought the app from.
The Network Assistant software isn’t working.
The Network Assistant software requires Java be installed on the computer. Most computers already have Java installed, but if yours does not, visit the following url to download the latest Java Runtime Environment.
Note: JRE 1.6.0_20 has a bug which could cause the Network Assistant to become unresponsive. Please update your Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to a newer version by visiting http://www.java.com/autoupdate
To find out which version you’re currently running, from a command prompt, type ‘java -version’.
Hypoxia is freezing at the Splash Screen.
This can occur if you’re running “Hybrid” operating system on the phone. Often, Hybrids are missing the required database components which is required by Hypoxia, and other applications.
You have two options, either install an official RIM operating system, or install the needed database components that are missing from the Hybrid OS.
How do I stream media to my BlackBerry?
Hypoxia will stream all compatible audio and video formats to your BlackBerry from supported media sharing software such as Windows Media Player, TVersity, etc. (For an up-to-date list of supported Media Servers, visit www.HypoxiaPlayer.com.)
To stream media from your wifi network:
-Setup your Media Server of choice
-Ensure your phone is connected to the wifi network
-Load Hypoxia
-Press Menu
-Select Media Browser
-Select Network
-Choose the Server you want to access
-Browse to your desired song, or video
-Click on the file to play
Be patient while browsing your network. Network speeds are affected by many things such as network traffic, signal strength, available resources on the BlackBerry etc, and may take a few seconds. The animated network icon in the top-left corner will stop animating when all network results have been gathered.
For help with setting up a Media Server on your computer, please refer to the Media Servers own setup instructions.

Installation and usage instructions can be found on the website as well.
Hypoxia crashes while scanning my SD Card.
Hypoxia will play all media files that are currently supported by the BlackBerry Smartphone.
Audio: MP3, MP4, WMA, ASF
Video: 3GP, MP4, M4A, MOV, AVI
*Not all formats will play on every phone, please consult the manual for your phone, or search the BlackBerry Knowledge base to see what formats your phone supports.
*MP4 files are assumed to be video files. They will be store in the Video Database. If you want them in the Audio Database you need to convert the file into one of the audio only formats.
Album artwork is not displaying.
Hypoxia only displays ID3 v2 Album Artwork. Even though ID3 v2 was implemented in 1998, not all MP3′s have ID3 v2 in them. Newly purchased songs contain ID3 v2.
All legit online music stores use ID3 v2 Album Artwork. Many downloaded MP3′s from the internet don’t.
There’s a free program called Mp3Tag, which will quickly fix album art, and metadata for your songs. Download @ http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
