Follow these steps to setup your phone:

Application Permissions:
1. From your BlackBerry home screen, select OPTIONS
2. Choose ‘Advanced Options’
3. Choose ‘Applications’
4. Scroll down to BlackBook, and press the MENU button
5. Choose ‘Edit Permissions’
6. Expand each category by pressing SPACE on them
7. Ensure everything is set to ALLOW
8. Save the changes
9. Pull the battery on your phone to allow a full restart of the system

If you get any further pop-ups requesting access by BlackBook, allow them all.

How to hide incoming SMS:
1. Go to OPTIONS > SECURITY OPTIONS > FIREWALL
2. Disable firewall
3. Block Incoming Messages > Check SMS
4. Except Messages From > Check ADDRESS BOOK CONTACTS
5. Press MENU > SAVE
6. Reboot the phone by PHYSICALLY REMOVING THE BATTERY (Do not use quick-pull etc).
7. Go to BlackBook OPTIONS > Enable “Save Unknown SMS”. (BlackBook 2.0 ONLY)

If this does not work, go back to the firewall settings and ENABLE the firewall, then repeat steps 3-6.
